  • What Colleges in New York City are a good look for fall 2009?

Posted by admin on December 30th, 2008 and filed under new york paralegal school | 1 Comment »

In april i should be receiving my associates in paralegal Studies from Edison State college in Florida. Being form New York I want to return there. I want to get my B.A. in New york But i don't know in what field i just need to know what schools i should be looking at.

I actually know where Edison State College is. My uncle use to live around there, lol. The top schools are NYU and Columbia, but of course it cost lots of $$$$ and brains. Stony Brook University in Long Island may be a good choice for you. Fordham is in the Bronx and is a great school, but not as hard as NYU or Columbia. They're so many school's in NY, and would suggest using College Board and Princeton Review to help you. Suny Purchase is also a great school, and had my cousin go there. Good Luck!

Where can I meet a girl for a relationship?

Posted by admin on December 18th, 2008 and filed under new york paralegal school | 7 Comments »

I'm 26 years old and I live in New York City. I've joined gamblers anonymous because of a gambling problem that I had up till about 6 weeks ago. I don't have too many guy friends who introduce me to girls. I think I'm smart(I'm in law school), funny, and pretty good looking. I just don't know where to meet girls and to maintain a relationship. I went to a cool 80's bar Saturday night and met some nice girls but nothing will develop and nothing has ever developed from that scene. Actually, I've had more success when I was younger in that scene, now I can't seem to get any traction. Does anyone have any clue what I should do. Because I'm really getting down on myself when I shouldn't because I have a good job (paralegal) and a great apartment and food everyday and I'm really healthy and I love to rollerblade it's just I have no girlfriend and it really really bothers me. I do have this one girl who wants me to be her boyfriend but I don't want to. I want to try another girl.

When I was in law school, I spent hours studying in coffee shops and public libraries. I think those are better places to meet people than bars, especially once you are older than 23. If you want to go to a bar, try one that is connected to an upscale restaurant/hotel. That way you meet people who are closer to your age and are not out hitting the clubs. Good luck.

Sign up for local clubs or activities and you'll definitely meet someone. Or you could try one of those online things… but i dont personally think thats the best solution. Just get out more. And dont go looking in clubs or bars if you're looking for a nice girl to develop a good relationship with.

    Which college is better?

University of North Carolina at Charlotte or Marist in Poughkeepsie New York?

I am leaning more towards Marist right now (assuming i get in) (My SAT score was 1540 i might re-take it, not to sure as of right now, and my average is about 80-85 mostly, sometimes higher never higher then an 88 if you know anything about either schools and whether or not I would get in with those scores i’d love to hear that too.)
I would love to hear your opinions

If it helps, i either plan on majoring in Paralegal studies, or English Literature/ Creative Writing with a minor in childhood education.(grammar school)
lol I already live in NY, and Poughkeepsie is supposed to be a small, suburban setting. No nees to worry about thugs.

I consider those two schools to be roughly comparable in reputation and in academic quality, but they are very different in feel. Have you visited both? I suggest you do so. Both are good schools, but they’re different enough that doing a visit may help you decide.

You can also apply to both – probably should apply to both. See where you get in, and see which one offers you the best financial aid package. Then decide.

You can look up the average SAT scores for any college at www.collegeboard.com.

What is the fastest way of becoming a lawyer.?

Posted by admin on December 10th, 2008 and filed under new york paralegal school | 4 Comments »

I’m a freshman in high school and i have always wanted to be a lawyer in New York City. I was told that i should take two years of college then become a paralegal for a few years before returning to school for five years to become a lawyer. I’ve been thinking that maybe i should just go straight into school for seven years and pop out a lawyer. Is there a shorter way to become a lawyer? Is there a better way?
And while I'm there, i planning on writing. If you have tips on writing, that would be fantastic too!

you have to go to school and then pass the bar
